Co-Director of
Shelter Services
Prudence Crandall Center, Inc. is seeking a Co-Director
of Shelter Services. An integral part of the management team,
this position is responsible for providing supervision to
the Center’s emergency shelter program in collaboration
with the other Co-Director. Duties include supervision of
Shelter Advocates and the Child Advocate, implementation
of policies and procedures, and managing all aspects of the
shelter program.
Reporting to the Executive Director, this position will work
closely with staff, volunteers, and other department heads
to ensure the quality of the shelter program. Extensive
on-call coverage is also required.
A minimum of four years of related education/experience,
plus management experience required. Ability to work with
a broad range of staff, volunteers and clients in a positive
manner. Excellent writing skills, deadline-driven, organized,
detail-oriented, and dependable. Competent in the use of
MS Word, Excel, Access, and Publisher. Previous leadership,
supervisory and residential experience strongly preferred.
Ability and willingness to buy into the mission of the organization
is essential. Starting salary in the low 30’s. EOE.

Director of Development
Prudence Crandall Center, Inc. is seeking a full-time Director
of Development responsible for managing all aspects of the
development of the Center including proposal writing, direct
mail, special events and assistance with the capital campaign.
Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Development
Director will work closely with the Fundraising Committee,
the Chair of the Board and with all department heads to create
a development program fully integrated with the many other
activities of the Center.
Bachelor’s degree, formal development training and 3
years of non-profit experience required. Ability to work with
a broad range of staff, board and volunteer members in a positive
manner. Excellent writing skills, deadline-driven, organized,
detail-oriented, and dependable. Competent in the use of MS
Word, Excel, Access, and Publisher. Previous leadership, supervisory
and budgeting experience preferred. Ability and willingness
to buy into the mission of the organization is essential.

Director of Housing
Prudence Crandall Center, Inc. is seeking a Director of
Housing Services. An integral part of the management team,
this position is responsible for providing supervision to
the Center’s Transitional Living Program and Permanent
Supportive Housing Programs. Duties include supervision of
Housing Advocates, implementation of policies and procedures,
and managing all aspects of the Housing Programs.
Reporting to the Executive Director, this position will work
closely with staff, volunteers, and other department heads
to ensure the quality of the housing programs.
A minimum of four years of related education/experience,
BA/BS strongly preferred, plus significant management experience
required. Knowledge of and experience with landlord/tenant
law, permanent supportive and/or transitional housing also
required. Ability to work with a broad range of staff, volunteers
and clients in a positive manner. Excellent writing skills,
deadline-driven, organized, detail-oriented, and dependable.
Competent in the use of MS Word, Excel, Access, and Publisher.
Previous leadership, supervisory and housing experience strongly
preferred. Ability and willingness to buy into the mission
of the organization is essential. Starting salary in the

Director of Facilities
Prudence Crandall Center, Inc. is seeking a Director of
Facilities. An integral part of the management team, this
position is responsible for providing supervision to the
Center’s maintenance activities relating to the organization's
physical property in such a way as to ensure all residents
and staff enjoy a safe, clean and accessible living and working
environment. Position is fully responsible for all phases
of interior and exterior building and facilities maintenance
and cleanliness, security/safety and supervision of related
staff.
Reporting to the Executive Director, this position will
work closely with staff, volunteers, and other department
heads to ensure the quality of the shelter program. Extensive
on-call coverage is also required.
A minimum of five years of experience in facilities and/or
housing-related management/operations, including a minimum
of two years of supervisory experience. High school diploma
required, BA/BS degree preferred. Ideal candidates will have
knowledge and experience with maintenance, security/safety
as well as technical knowledge of maintenance equipment,
cleaning procedures, and other related activities.
Knowledge
of, or experience with landlord-tenant law and/or permanent
supportive housing strongly preferred. Strong interpersonal
and communication skills including an excellent ability to
build and sustain positive and collaborative working relationships
with a wide range of constituents. Ability to work independently,
as well as part of a team and the ability to buy into the
mission of the organization is also essential. Starting salary in the low 40’s. EOE.

Part Time Shelter Advocates
Prudence Crandall Center is seeking Part Time Shelter Advocates
to fill a variety of shifts at our 24-hour emergency shelter.
These positions are responsible for providing advocacy, counseling,
information, referrals, support and related services to women,
men and children who have been impacted by domestic violence.
Answering the 24-hour crisis hotline and assistance with
all aspects of shelter maintenance and operations are also
required.
Positions work an irregular schedule of 0-31 hours per week
as needed
and are required to cover at least three holiday shifts per
year.
Local travel is necessary, reliable transportation required.
Minimum of 4 years of related education/experience required.
Bilingual English/Spanish a plus. Excellent oral and written
communication skills, ability to work with diverse populations,
ability to work independently and demonstrated commitment
to ending violence against women and children required.
